To all you mums out there, you all are doing a fantastic job and you do not have to hear it from someone else. As if a pandemic isn’t bad enough, mothers are sure having a rough time dealing with the kids at home.
What if I told you, you do not have to go crazy with your kids around? Here is how you can take care of yourself and keep your sanity in check;
- Do a mini workout /or some yoga
Doing some exercises and stretches releases the feel good hormones. Exercising lowers your cortisol levels. The cortisol hormones are what is produced when you get stressed.
- Do your daily affirmations
Good thoughts and actions only create good results. We are facing tough economic times and even more financial constraints but we have to remain positive. One way to always be positive is to say your daily affirmations.
My personal favourite is “I have all that I need to make this day great.”
Say it and believe it.
- Create your tasks for the next day in a to -do list.
Start from the most crucial ones to the less crucial ones. This will help you to put your day in order. Do no beat up yourself if you do not manage to accomplish all of them. As long as the important ones are done you will be just fine.
- Do not skip your skincare routine.
You do not want to be the most tired looking mom on the earth, eye bags, wrinkles, dry and dehydrated skin et al. Taking care of your skin will save you a lot of money and also keep you looking youthful quite longer. Most of all it will help you feel pretty and obviously feel better about yourself.
- Call your best friends
Good friendship is good for your mental health and so it talking your heart out. Ring up your friends, share your problems and also listen to theirs. This will not only help you release your stress out, but it will make you also realize your problems aren’t the worst in the world. As someone out there is having a more different but also difficult time, you will be grateful for what you have.
Ladies you cannot pour from an empty cup so guard your heart and take care of yourself. At least do it for your kids, they do need you.
Stay safe, Stay home! Wash your hands!
